Advanced Intuitive User Interface - With the release of Pyxis Mobile 6.0, the application previously known as mPAC (mPlatform Administration Console) has been dramatically improved and re-launched as the Pyxis Mobile Application Studio. The Application Studio release provides a more usable, logical and consistent interface for the application design and administrative process.
Custom Entities - Application Studio allows administrators to define, create, edit, and delete their own entities, including names, fields, data types, without the need for coding or compiling. This means that an administrator can add information from a proprietary employee directory to an existing Pyxis Mobile application, or create a brand new business intelligence application extending custom reports from scratch.
Custom Screens - Administrators can create their own screens, freeing them from the list of previously available screens offered by Pyxis Mobile. Administrators will be free to create, edit, and delete screen definitions with menu configuration options that will adapt to changing screen configurations.
Advanced Configuration Import/Export - Pyxis Mobile supports the export and import of full application definitions. In 6.0, along with custom screen and entity support, the core product will ship with a blank configuration, ready to accept the import of existing or new application definitions. In addition, improvements in entity objects allow encapsulation of business rules for configuration data associated with new entities.
