Speech-enabled mobile productivity solutions

The financial sector workforce is increasingly mobile. Employees on the road need access to current - and frequently time sensitive - information. Likewise they need to update corporate data (e.g. CRM, ERP data) in a timely and accurate manner. From an organizational perspective, increased mobility creates significant costs through lost productivity. Mobile line of business applications address these dual challenges by enabling mobile employees to interact with and update corporate systems while traveling. More recently, use of such business applications has been simplified through integration with voice-interfaces. Allowing users to speak commands and dictate open-ended input into mobile work force automation solutions reduces productivity costs and support timely information capture. This session describes the state of the art and near future for a new class of mobile productivity solutions.
